On 4 February 2026 the Government provided a timeline update, relating to the implementation of changes that will be brought by the Employment Rights Act 2025. Please see our most recent briefing document (February 2026) which reflects this.
Have you prepared for the changes coming in April?
Here is a summary of the employment changes scheduled to take effect in April 2026. Employers are encouraged to begin preparations promptly in anticipation of these updates.
Deductions from wages – do you have the right?
Employers may want to make deductions from their employees’ wages for reasons such as overpayments, training costs, loans etc. However, there are limits to on how those deductions can be made, and when.
