Chemical company fined after two employees suffer serious chemical burns
A chemical manufacturing company has been fined £3.8 million after employees at two separate sites suffered chemical burns after exposure to caustic soda. The company pleaded guilty to two charges.
New guidance issued on Less Healthy Products by Advertising Standards Agency
The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has published guidance on the new ASA and Committees of Advertising Practice (CAP) rules on the advertising of less healthy products.


HSE cracks down on dry cutting of engineered stone due to silicosis risk
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has issued new guidance banning dry cutting of engineered stone due to the high risk of silicosis and other lung diseases. The change comes following the deaths of two young workers from silicosis in recent years.
