CMA issues its first penalty under the DMCCA hitting car park operator with six figure fine
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has issued its first penalty under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 (DMCCA) of £473,000 to Euro Car Parks, under its new direct enforcement powers, for failing to respond to an information notice.
Manufacturer fined after employee suffered life-changing injuries
A building materials manufacturer has been fined £633,300 after an employee crushed their legs between moving metal frames on a production line.
Contractor sentenced after teen fell to death
A self-employed contractor has been jailed for 12 months after a teenager fell to his death during demolition works to a property.
