Gordons achieves a sixth year of growth
Thursday 17th September 2026
Gordons has grown its net profit by 12 per cent to £14.6m for the year ended 31 March 2026 whilst increasing its annual turnover by 11 per cent to £26.3m in the same period.
The firm has now recorded six consecutive years of growth with net profit and turnover rising by 77 per cent and 46 per cent respectively since 2020.
There has also been a positive start to the first five months of the latest financial year with turnover up 11 per cent compared to the same period last year.
Revenue growth for the year ended 31 March 2026 was driven by the success of Gordons’ commercial teams, which recorded a combined 13 per cent overall increase in turnover year-on-year.
Reflecting the firm’s performance and recognising the contribution of every employee, all staff will receive a bonus equivalent to five per cent of their annual salary.
This growth reflects the firm’s success in attracting new clients while continuing to deepen relationships with existing ones. These include retailers AO, Iceland Foods, Morrisons and Wren Kitchens, alongside hair and beauty brand Cloud Nine; insurance broker JMG Group; drinks company Molson Coors; parcel delivery business Evri; and Houseful, the parent company of Zoopla.
Managing partner Victoria Davey commented, “Our continued growth is due to the lasting relationships that we establish with clients. Trust is earned and our success is built upon that premise.
“When this is combined with our entrepreneurial culture, it allows us to think and act decisively for our clients, providing them with advice that delivers the right outcomes. We keep things simple and do the basics well. These are traits we see in our best clients.
“We have had a positive start to our latest financial year and aim to achieve further controlled growth for the remainder of it.”
During the period, Gordons also continued its long-established commitment to enabling social mobility with its pioneering legal apprenticeship scheme, now celebrating its fifteenth year in 2026.
In addition, the firm partnered with Harehills-based charity CATCH, which facilitates social mobility by enabling young people to reach their potential.
Gordons also recruited more than 25 paralegals on various projects throughout the year.
Victoria Davey added: “Alan Milburn’s interim report on young people and work published this May highlighted a range of youth unemployment issues for those aged 16 to 24. The tightening job market and the impact of AI makes it really tough for youngsters.
“We remain committed to continuing to play our part in creating a variety of opportunities for those of that age.
“We know from experience that there are determined and highly capable individuals within this cohort with great attitudes who just need a chance to prove themselves.”
