Victoria heads a team which acts for the Solicitors Regulation Authority (‘SRA’) which is the body which regulates lawyers. Victoria has over 14 years’ experience dealing with the enforced closure of law firms by the SRA. Victoria also investigates allegations of professional misconduct on behalf of the SRA.
Victoria is a member of the firm’s Executive Board and heads up compliance and operational matters within Gordons.
Significant matters that Victoria and her team have dealt with are:
- the closure of over 70 law firms by the SRA (known as ‘interventions’)
- the investigation of over 5,000 complaints of professional misconduct
- the investigation of over 7,000 complaints of poor service
- one of the largest interventions undertaken by the SRA with over 65,000 client files
