Victoria heads a team which acts for the Solicitors Regulation Authority (‘SRA’) which is the body which regulates lawyers. Victoria has over 20 years’ experience dealing with the enforced closure of law firms by the SRA.  Gordons is one of four firms appointed nationwide by the SRA to undertake this specialist area of work.

Victoria is a member of Gordons’ Executive Board and is responsible for managing all operational matters.

Significant matters that Victoria and her team have dealt with are:

  • the closure of over 100 law firms by the SRA (known as ‘interventions’)
  • the investigation of over 5,000 complaints of professional misconduct
  • the investigation of over 7,000 complaints of poor service
  • the largest intervention undertaken by the SRA
