Private client team shortlisted for prestigious award

Monday 9th July 2012

Gordons is proud to announce that its private client team has been shortlisted as one of five finalists in the Regional Team of the Year category in the annual Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners’ (STEP) Private Client Awards.

Open to teams located outside London, the category’s shortlisted entrants have demonstrated a clear capacity for handling complex and demanding client issues and shown how their practices attract and maintain professional staff.

Finalists also had to describe their firms’ sector specialisms, breadth of services and delivery to clients, alongside their use of technology and investment going into their practices.

Paul Ayre, Gordons’ managing partner, said: “We’re delighted with this short listing, which follows that of our contentious trusts and estates team in their category of the STEP Private Client Awards last year.

“We have one of the largest private client teams in the north of England, advising a wide variety of people and trusts, some clients having wealth exceeding £100m. The short listing is a merited reward for the outstanding overall service the private client team provides in what can be a complex practice area.”

The STEP Private Client Awards highlight excellence among solicitors and attorneys, accountants, barristers, bankers, trust managers, and financial advisors. The awards’ presiding judges, eminent professionals in the private client arena, are supported by experts from internationally-renowned lawyers, accountants, barristers and trust companies.
