New owner for £80m-turnover drinks wholesaler

An £80m-turnover West Yorkshire wholesale supplier of alcohol and soft drinks to the on-trade sector has been snapped up by an acquisitive counterpart headquartered in North Tyneside.
Wakefield-based H B Clark, one of the UK’s largest independent alcohol wholesalers, has been bought by Kitwave, which has embarked on an acquisition drive following a refinance in March. Kitwave raised funds from lead investor Pricoa Capital Group and a co-investment partner Allstate, for a minority stake.
The vendors were advised by Gordons’ corporate department led by partner Jonathan Asquez, assisted by corporate solicitor Stephanie Houghton and commercial property solicitor Sarah Ratcliffe as well as Oliver Hoffman and Chris Dale from accountancy firm Mazars’ Leeds office.
