Leeds-based D.M. Keith, the UK’s largest Skoda retailer, is looking to drive further ahead of the competition with the refurbishment of its Leeds and York dealerships secured with funding from Natwest.

The refinance, which was advised on by Gordons, has allowed D.M. Keith to fully refurbish its showrooms at its Skoda dealership at Thwaite Gate, Hunslet Road, Leeds and its Skoda and Seat dealership on Wiggington Road, York.  The investment proves DM Keith’s commitment to the new and used car market in the Yorkshire region, where it currently employs over 200 people.

D.M. Keith director, Angus Keith, commented: “Gordons guided us smoothly through the process, putting us in an excellent position to start the New Year.  The funds secured have allowed us to invest heavily in our facilities at York and Leeds which I’m confident will help us to further grow our business.”

Gordons’, led by commercial property solicitor, James Kimberley, advised on the property and banking aspects of the refinance.  Gordons has a decade-long relationship with D.M. Keith, having previously advised on the company’s acquisition of its sites in Huddersfield, Bradford, York and Hull.

Commenting on the refinance, Gordons solicitor, James Kimberley said: “The D.M. Keith brand is built on a passion for forging strong relationships with customers, coupled with outstanding service. It has been a pleasure working with the company to secure investment in their existing sites which has allowed them to modernise their dealerships.”

D.M. Keith, founded over 50 years ago, supplies new cars alongside a large selection of approved used vehicles. Owned by directors Dougal and Angus Keith, the sons of the founder, the business has been selling the Skoda range for over 40 years this year.
