Gordons advises construction procurement software provider C-Link on merger with E1
Monday 28th July 2025
Gordons has advised construction procurement management software provider C-Link on its merger with Australian-based tender management software platform E1.
The merger means the two companies now provide the UK’s only connected procurement platform for the construction industry.
A team from Gordons led by corporate partner Amy Pierechod advised the founders of C-Link on the merger with E1.
Founded in 2015, London-headquartered C-Link helps construction professionals find subcontractors, automate tenders and contracts, control construction programmes, and improve profitability.
Paul Heming, co-founder and CEO of C-Link, commented: “This merger represents far more than a deal — it’s the coming together of two companies that share a deep understanding of the challenges faced by pre-construction and commercial teams in construction.
“C-Link and E1 have each built specialist tools focused on different stages of the procurement process. Together, we now seek to offer a connected solution that spans everything from estimate, through tender creation to contract execution — all built for the quantity surveyor and estimator.
“Working with Amy and the team at Gordons has been fantastic — they’ve guided us through every stage of the process with clarity and pragmatism. We’re hugely excited about the future and confident that, with E1, we can bring real change to the way construction procurement is done.”
The merger has created a platform which sees E1’s software support contractors to manage tenders from start to finish, while C-Link’s web app provides the tools quantity surveyors need for post-contract award procurement.
Gordons corporate partner Amy Pierechod commented: “C-Link have been a client of the firm throughout their impressive growth journey and this merger with E1 represents an exciting new chapter in the company’s journey.
“It was great to have advised on this deal which will go a long way to transform complex contractor management and quantity surveying for construction projects.”
