Thursday 26th April 2018

Gordons has advised Manchester-based low energy IT systems manufacturer, Tranquil PC, on its successful sale to US-French company, 2CRSI.

Gordons corporate lawyers, Peter Barton, Lucy Leyland and Lisa Murphy, worked closely with the selling shareholders of the family-owned business on the deal, which was completed for an undisclosed sum.

Established in 2003, Tranquil PC is a world-leader in the field of low energy IT systems. 2CRSI was founded in 2005 and has headquarters in San Jose, California, and Strasbourg, France. The company designs and manufactures storage systems, high-performance computing (HPC) and customised IT appliances.

Commenting on the deal, Peter said: “This is an excellent deal for both businesses. They have complementary skills and strengths which will enable the combined organisation to forge ahead with its international expansion plans.”

Mills & Reeve advised 2CRSI whilst accountants EY conducted financial due diligence on the deal.
