TCC rubber stamps need for Payment Notices

In the first reported case on the amended Construction Act,  Mr Justice Edwards-Stuart has emphasised the importance of Payment Notices being served on time (ISG Construction Ltd v Seevic College [2014]).  A failure to do so could result in a signicant and unwanted cash outlay in the face of exaggerated applications for payment.  Employers and Contractors should check the contractual payment timescales and ensure Payment Notices are served on time.
