Two Enforcement Undertakings issued to Severn Trent Water

Environment Agency (EA) has completed two Enforcement Undertakings (EU) against Severn Trent Water totalling £2.2 million which has been paid to local countryside charities.

EUs are available to EA to enforce upon companies for environmental harm. The aim is to put right the offending.

Severn Trent had two unauthorised sewage discharges in 2022 in Worcestershire and two permit breaches in 2021 in Cheltenham which led to the EUs being issued.
