CMA’s 4Ps for digital markets enforcement published

Tuesday 17th June 2025

The CMA has published guidance on how it intends to implement its “4P’s”, its four key principles to approach its new powers granted under the DMCCA 2024 when considering digital markets. These stand for:

  1. The speed at which they will intervene into matters, and what they will prioritise first.
  2. Publishing timetables and guidance so businesses know what to expect.
  3. Targeted, evidence-led interventions should minimise disruption and cost.
  4. Regular engagement with stakeholders, roundtables and consultations to listen and learn.
