Leeds and Bradford top the league as businesses grab funding for faster web access

Thursday 21st August 2014

Graeme Davy, digital and technology expert at Gordons comments “As reported on TheBusinessDesk.com today (21 August), I am pleased to see that businesses across the county are taking advantage of the Government’ Superconnected Cities programme which was introduced in February 2014.

Many grant funded schemes do not see a take up due to lack of interest, red tape and low awareness.  The success of this scheme shows that government is committed to improving online access and improving broadband speeds which can only help business.  In turn, the take up shows that SME’s are keen to improve their technology capabilities, with a view to competing internationally.

I cannot emphasise enough how important good quality and reliable online access is to all businesses, and it looks like those that have taken up the opportunity agree.”
