Yorkshire law firm Gordons has left its historic Bradford city centre home on Piccadilly and moved 100 yards up the same street to occupy the fully refurbished former offices of David Yablon Solicitors, the practice which it acquired three years ago.
Gordons utilised both offices following the acquisition but after a recent significant investment to turn the Forward House offices on Piccadilly into a modern, open plan environment the firm’s full complement of 120 people based in Bradford now work under one roof.
Partner Victoria Davey, who is on the firm’s executive committee, said: “Gordons has had a presence in Bradford since 1844 and this latest investment demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the city and our desire to continue to grow our business here.”
Gordons also has a Leeds office which it opened in 2000 and currently employs 250 people in total, 180 of which are fee earners. The firm’s turnover for financial year 2008-09 was £21.7m and it is one of the UK’s Top 100 legal practices.
Commercial property partner Paul Young commented: “The refurbished offices at Forward House provide an excellent work place environment for our people with the open plan layout enabling greater interaction amongst teams. As a law firm that offers a variety of services that are often integrated these new arrangements are helping us further enhance our levels of client service.”
