Our work is becoming increasingly international, with clients from China, Saudi Arabia and the United States among those recently instructing us.

Here are just a few examples of Gordons’ international reach:

We have advised leading Chinese menswear retailer Bosideng International, which has more than 8,000 outlets in China. Additionally, we have worked with LF Europe, part of the Hong Kong-based Li & Fung Group and owner of companies such as Peter Black Footwear & Accessories, clothing manufacturer Just Jamie and supply chain manager Silvereed.

Japan’s DENSO Corporation, advanced automotive technology system and component supplier to the world’s major vehicle manufacturers, and Liaan Korea Company have also been clients.

Our experts have provided legal advice to Saudi Airlines, one of the world’s leading carriers, with around 140 aircraft, including the latest and most advanced wide-bodied jets.

Clients based in the USA have included brewing giant Molson Coors, headquartered in Denver and Montreal. Also benefiting from our assistance have been Texas-based Houston Vessel Manufacturing – maker of products including pressure vessels, filtration systems and process skids – and Northern Indiana’s I-Tech Resources, supplier of 24:7 computer support to families and businesses.

Three of our manufacturing clients have been located in Ohio. These were: Ferno, producer of emergency mortuary and healthcare products; Gardner Denver, specialists in industrial compressors, blowers, pumps, loading arms and fuel systems; and Will Burt Company, whose output includes telescopic masts, light towers and antenna masts.

We have also advised Atlanta-based Coldwater Inc, supplier of suction rolls, seals and accessories, plus drainage, formation and edge control equipment, and Pennsylvanian fastening solutions provider PennEngineering.

Gordons has asssisted some of Europe’s biggest multinationals, including Dutch-based professional services giant KPMG, German-headquartered world leading diversified chemical company BASF and Spanish retail bank Santander.

We have also worked with leading Swedish bank Handelsbanken which has over 700 branches worldwide, including more than 100 in the UK.

In France, we have advised Saint Gobain, world leader in the design, production and distribution of construction materials, and Somfy, maker of motors and control systems for the automatic movement of products such as roller shutters and awnings.

German automotive products and services provider Manheim Auctions also benefited from our team’s expertise, as has the UK subsidiary of Hockenheim-based Weidenhammer, Europe’s leading supplier of composite cans and drums, luxury tubes and plastic containers.

We have worked for a number of London-based multinationals. These have included banking and financial services companies HSBC and Lloyds TSB, plus professional services firm PwC.

Our team also advised the Centre for Agricultural Bioscience International, a not-for-profit inter-governmental organisation based in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, and owned by 45 countries.

Closer to home, we have worked with some of Yorkshire’s leading international businesses. These have included Leeds-based brand design consultancy Elmwood, which has sites in London, Melbourne, New York and Singapore. Our clients have also included Bradford’s academic book and journal publisher Emerald Group Publishing and leading catalogue clothing retailer Grattan.

In addition, we have been instructed by Dublin-based Glen Dimplex, the world’s largest electrical heating equipment manufacturer and major producer of domestic appliances, cooling and ventilation systems.
