Law firm Gordons advises Keighley community group on lease of Central Hall

Yorkshire law firm Gordons has advised Keighley and Ilkley Voluntary and Community Action (KIVCA) on the lease of its new community centre, Central Hall in Keighley.
KIVCA, a long standing not-for-profit community group has moved into the building which has undergone a £1.74m restoration and features a café, exhibition space, meeting rooms, Wi-Fi and a large hall for events.
Gordons’ commercial property solicitor Simon Mydlowski advised KIVCA on the 99 year long-term lease with Bradford Council. The deal was funded through Gordons’ involvement with Pro-Help, a national network of professional firms committed to making a difference in their local community by providing free advice and professional support.
The firm also advised on the sub-letting for part of the hall by KIVCA to the Citizens Advice Bureau on a five year lease.

An established law firm with offices in Leeds and Bradford, Gordons currently employs 250 people, 180 of which are fee earners. The firm’s turnover for the last financial year was £22m and it is one of the UK’s top 100 practices.
