Peter Barton (consultant) and Charlie Smith (solicitor) have recently advised international leading group, Glen Dimplex in its capacity as the co-ordinator of an Irish led, twelve strong RealValue European consortium encompassing the entire energy supply chain which includes in addition to Glen Dimplex, partners such as SSE Airtricity, ESB Networks, EirGrid, Intel, the Electricity Research Centre at University College, Dublin and the University of Oxford.

Gordons’ role was to prepare and assist in the negotiation of the consortium agreement between the consortium members.

The project involves the installation of Glen Dimplex’s revolutionary, world leading, heat storage Quantum Energy system in homes in Ireland, Germany and Latvia and will continue until 2018.  It is hoped that the RealValue project will be a catalyst for creating a greener future for homes consuming and storing energy.
