CONSTRUCTION LAWYER (NON-CONTENTIOUS)

The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experience non-contentious fee-earner to join our busy construction team.   This role would ideally suit a construction solicitor with at least 5 years’ post qualification experience, who would be capable of working alongside our experienced fee-earners on a broad range of non- contentious matters. You will have the opportunity to supervise and mentor junior members of the team. The successful candidate will be keen to develop their skills in this area within a leading regional team which does national work, interacting effectively with colleagues and clients at every level and in other practice areas (for example, commercial property) and actively engaging in business development.

The team

Our nationally recognised construction & engineering team advises on all types of projects for developers, contractors, housebuilders and retailers and are involved with construction projects of regional and national significance. Our clients operate in many sectors including retail, distribution and logistics, chemicals, food and process engineering, education, healthcare and sport.

The person
This opportunity is open to a solicitor with at least 5PQE. The ideal candidate will have a real passion for the law and a solid foundation in construction work, predominately experienced in non- contentious matters.

Candidates will also have the following:

  • A track record of advising on non-contentious construction matters
  • A solid understanding of fundamental construction law
  • Ambition to develop our existing client relationships and build and grow a network of clients within the construction and engineering fields
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and a confident manner in engaging with clients and colleagues
  • A strong team work ethic and the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Drive, commitment, self-motivation and a “can do” attitude
  • Exceptional attention to detail
