Alison Law Solicitors LLP – SRA Intervention
Thursday 13th November 2025
On 11 November 2025 the Solicitors Regulation Authority (‘SRA’) intervened into the practice of Alison Law Solicitors LLP (‘Alison Law’). Alison Law practiced from the following offices:
- 437-441 London Road, Sheffield, S2 4HJ
- 2 Wilmslow Road, Manchester, M14 5TP

What does this mean?
If you were a client of Alison Law (or previously Parker Thomas), they can no longer act for you. You will need to find a new solicitor to act. Gordons are not acting for you. If you need help finding a new solicitor you can search for a new solicitor on the Law Society’s Find a Solicitor site, or you can call the Law Society on 020 7320 5650 Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00.
How do I get my file?
We are collecting all live/ongoing client files previously held by Alison Law. You can email us at intervention@gordonsllp.com or call us on 0113 227 0373 to check if we are holding your file and tell us where you would like us to send it. If we need any more information from you before sending your file, we will let you know.
If your matter was funded by legal aid you will need to find a legal aid lawyer. You can find one here: https://find-legal-advice.justice.gov.uk/. If you have a live legal aid certificate, we can only send your file to another legal aid lawyer.
If you instructed Alison Law to deal with an immigration matter and you need help finding an immigration advisor please click this link Adviser Finder.
What about deeds/wills/Lasting Powers of Attorneys (LPAs)/other original documents held at Alison Law?
These documents will be held separately by the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s archive department. If you want to get hold of these documents please contact the SRA’s archives team at iaf@sra.org.uk or 0204 525 0250.
What has happened to old/archived files?

If you want to request old/archived files please contact the SRA’s archives team at iaf@sra.org.uk or 0204 525 0250.
