HSE inspections in Manchester city centre

HSE has announced that a team of 12 inspectors will conduct unannounced inspections at construction sites across Manchester City Centre on Tuesday 21 October 2025.
The inspections will review management of health and safety with a particular focus on management of ill-health, covering areas such as asbestos, noise, musculoskeletal disorders, health surveillance and dust management.
HSE has the power to as serve enforcement notices on non-compliant businesses which can mandate the site to imminently cease its operation or a specific activity until it is made safe.
