
Four individuals given custodial sentences for food hygiene offences

The Food Standards Agency’s National Food Crime Unit and Southwark Council successfully prosecuted four individuals for placing food not fit for human consumption on the market.
The individuals were involved with a company – ‘Fears Animal Products Ltd’, which was also convicted and due to be sentenced in 2026.
The company director was sentenced to 42 months in prison and disqualified from acting as a company director for six years. The three other individuals were given custodial sentences ranging from 21-35 months, two of which were suspended.
