Water company fined for pollution to watercourse

The Environment Agency has prosecuted a water company after one of its water treatment work facilities breached its environmental permit on multiple occasions. The company was fined £865,000 an ordered to pay costs totalling £34,969.79.
This comes only days after a report highlighted a crackdown on water companies polluting water courses.
