Product Regulation and Metrology Act 2025 receives Royal Assent

The Product Regulation and Metrology Act 2025 will give the Secretary of State powers to make secondary legislation to regulate product safety. Product law at present is largely based around retained EU legislation.
The Act will allow new legislation to be introduced which will set standards for product safety, enforcement and penalties.
