Company receives record fine of £759,000 after conviction by Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency

A distribution company was convicted of overloading and defective vehicle offences and was fined £759,000. The prosecution was brought by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and is the highest fine ever imposed on a business for offences of this kind.
