REGULATORY LAWYER

Leeds/Full Time:
We are recruiting a senior solicitor with 6 years PQE+ who has experience in at least two of the following areas: health, safety and environment; product, food and consumer law; transport law; financial crime/supply chain; general/corporate crime/defence.
With experience of providing commercial advice, supporting on criminal/regulatory matters (PACE interviews, inquests, magistrates court, crown court), you will be capable of working relatively autonomously and take an active interest in business development / assisting with the management of a busy practice and team.
This is a new addition to the team following a huge growth in instructions, which will see you working with a fantastic client base including household names in the retail, transport and logistics sectors. The quality of work is recognised in the legal and national directories, with a market leading partner heading the team, and there is a collegiate and supportive culture both within the team and the firm.
This is a genuine opportunity for the right candidate to:
- Work across an unrivalled breadth of regulatory work from advisory work to major investigations, enforcement and prosecutions. There is a wide range of areas from health and safety to ESG and consumer law.
- Participate in some very high-profile instructions such including a very high-profile CPS/HSE investigation and various matters in the Crown Court and Coroner’s Courts.
- Support on cutting edge areas of regulation within the consumer, food and product space.
- Assist and develop own areas of interest, support on key client account management, lead on business development initiatives and support on supervision of junior lawyers.
The role may suit a candidate who is looking for a step up into a more senior role, those looking for a better breadth and depth of work and client contact or alternatively a much more experienced candidate looking for a more strategic and balanced work life.
