Gordons has advised creative construction company, Stage One Creative Services, on the expansion of its base at Marston Moor Business Park as it looks to continue its growth.

Stage One has signed a new 15-year lease on all four buildings at the Tockwith-based business park, in a deal which expands its industrial, manufacturing and office accommodation by an additional 15,000 sq. ft. to a total of 100,000 sq. ft.

Mark Johnson, chief executive at Stage One, commented: “The decision to secure and expand our premises is a significant move for our business.

“Our continued investment in new technology, and our developing employee base, demands premises that make us operationally robust as the business moves into its next phase of growth.”

The construction company, which currently employs over 160 people, has previously been involved in projects such as the London 2012 Olympic Ceremonies, as well as developing TV sets for programmes such as The Voice and Pitch Battle.

A team from Gordons, led by partner Simon Mydlowski, advised Stage One on the lease extensions and securing the new property.

Simon Mydlowski said: “The expansion of Stage One is testament to the fantastic service Mark and his team provide within the creative industries. I’m sure its expansion into a new property and the extension of its leases will offer a stable platform for the next phase of growth.

“We have significant experience within the commercial property sector and we were able to utilise our depth of knowledge to complete the deal.”

Marston Moor Business Park is located near Wetherby in North Yorkshire. It is owned by Regional REIT and managed by London & Scottish Property and forms part of the former RAF Marston Moor airbase, which trained Halifax Bomber aircrew between 1942 and 1945.
