Law firm Gordons appoints two new partners following another record year

Leeds and Bradford law Gordons has appointed two new partners following a successful 12 months for the business which saw it post a record turnover and enter the UK Top 100 law firms league table for the first time.
Gordons’ turnover for the last financial year was £21.2m - an increase of 13.5 per cent from the previous year’s total - and marks the sixth successive year of growth for the firm. This rise in turnover has also meant that Gordons has joined the UK’s legal elite being ranked number 98 out of the UK’s Top 100 law according to a survey by industry publication The Lawyer.
The new partners are Martin Hasyn in the firm’s personal department and Katherine Southby who leads the regulatory team in Gordons’ commercial litigation department.
Gordons’ managing partner, Paul Ayre, said: “Our personal and regulatory departments are performing well. Many of our competitors have abandoned these areas of law to focus purely on commercial work. However, we have found that by providing a diverse range of services which allow personal clients to benefit from commercial legal advice it has clearly differentiated our offer within the marketplace.
