The largest supplier of car and light commercial vehicle parts to UK independent garages has become the first tenant at Bradford’s Wellington Business Park in a move that will create 25 jobs.

Euro Car Parts employs over 2,000 people at 69 branches and has annual sales in excess of £180m. With a stock holding of £400,000 and its ability to supply and assist local garages, the company believes its new premises will indirectly help create further jobs in the local community.

Chris Parke, Regional Field Sales Manager of Euro Car Parts, commented: “Opening a new branch in Bradford forms an integral part of our nationwide expansion plan. We chose Wellington Business Park due to its thoughtfully designed commercial units and proximity to arterial routes as our customers need to be able to access us quickly, especially at the busiest times of the day.”

The company has secured a 15 year lease on a 4,500 sq ft unit at the new business park on Sticker Lane from the owner and property developer, Marrtree, which was advised on the agreement by Paul Young, commercial property partner at Yorkshire law firm Gordons.

William Marshall, director of Bradford-based Marrtree, said: “Having only recently completed Wellington Business Park, we are delighted to welcome a nationally recognised brand as our first tenant within such a short space of time.

“Throughout our negotiations on the lease Paul and his team at Gordons provided us with prompt, accurate advice that allowed the deal to progress smoothly and efficiently.”

Located approximately two miles from the M606, Wellington Business Park comprises eight units within two terraces of self-contained portal framed business units. Each has a loading facility from a large shared secure yard which also provides ample on-site parking.

The remaining seven units are available individually or in combination and range in size from 1,750 sq ft to 16,000 sq ft and are ideal for a variety of business, warehouse and trade counter operations. Joint agents on the development are Walker Singleton and Eddisons.

Paul Young commented: “Wellington Business Park is in an excellent location and offers outstanding, versatile buildings. This first letting is testimony to those facts and it has the added bonus of creating jobs within Bradford. We look forward to working with Marrtree to secure further lettings in the near future.”
