Scott is a Chartered Legal Executive in the Commercial Litigation team at Gordons with over 20 years’ experience of litigation and dispute resolution. He has particular experience of acting for and advising asset finance lenders, invoice finance lenders, asset based lenders, banks and building societies in recovery of assets, legal title disputes, satisfactory quality claims, shortfall recoveries, guarantee claims, professional negligence claims and breach of trust claims. Scott acted for the Claimant and successful respondent in the Court of Appeal case of Yorkshire Bank Finance Ltd v Mulhall [2008] EWCA Civ 1156 in which it was held a charging order that had not been enforced for more than 12 years was not liable to be set aside under the Limitation Act 1980.

 

He also acts for individuals, SMEs and large organisations in relation to debt recovery claims, retention of title claims and general contract disputes.
