Albert specialises in construction law and assists clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters. He has experience in a wide range of sectors including retail, education, hospitality, manufacturing, industrial, public works and residential. Albert advises lenders, developers, end-users, contractors, consultants and specialist sub-contractors and has extensive experience negotiating development agreements, building contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties and other security documentation under various methods of procurement.
He assists clients throughout the construction phase and beyond, dealing with disputes relating to variations, extensions of time, loss and expense and defects. This includes clients bringing or defending actions in litigation and adjudication, as well as those seeking to resolve their disputes through negotiation or mediation.
Albert also advises contractors and sub-contractors on their standard terms and conditions, and has experience in preparing standard suites of sub-contract documents and delivering training sessions to contractor clients on how to effectively manage and administer their sub-contracts.
Albert is a graduate of Gordons’ award winning legal apprenticeship programme.
