West Yorkshire - the place to be
With offices in Leeds and Bradford, trainees at Gordons have an opportunity to experience the distinct features that both of these thriving cities have to offer.
Leeds
Lying in the heart of the country, Leeds is acknowledged as the largest legal centre outside of London. It is the second largest metropolitan district in the UK and one of Europe’s most vibrant cities. Over the years, Leeds has developed into a commercial, industrial, cultural and entertainment centre. Theatres, shopping malls, hotels, museums, galleries, cafés and bars can be found throughout the city.
The waterfront area is a beautiful dining quarter with modern city apartments converted from former grain mills. There is cuisine from all over the world, with several award-winning restaurants and international events covering a wide range of sporting and musical entertainment.
Bradford
Vibrant, diverse and full of surprises, Bradford is a district rich in history yet with all the facilities and convenience of a thriving modern city. Bradford has a fascinating architectural history which is evident in the Palazzo style warehouses as well as in the contemporary buildings.
The city offers plenty for those looking for outdoor space: parks, lakes and gardens and just a short drive to some of the most breathtaking sceney in the country. Dining out is always a pleasure in Bradford, regarded as the curry capital of the country, where there is a magnitude of award-winning restaurants offering international cuisine.
Country life
West Yorkshire is a great place to live and work, Leeds and Bradford are both exciting cities to be in socially and professionally but the countryside is never far away. The surrounding areas have so much to offer and places like the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors, Harrogate and Skipton are all on your doorstep.
Nightlife
If it’s nightlife that appeals to you then you won't be disappointed! From trendy city centre bars and nightspots to out-of-town hang outs, there’s something for everyone in and around Leeds and Bradford.
