Why did you choose Gordons?
Gordons is a regional firm with an excellent reputation. The firm also conducts a wide range of work to cover in a training contract, something a lot of other firms are unable to offer.
What academic route did you take before joining Gordons?
I did a degree in Classics at Leeds University with an extra year studying in Milan. I then did the GDL and the LPC full-time at BPP Law School, Leeds. I have also worked in various positions throughout my academic career from the age of 16 to present, all of which have helped me to get to this point.
When did you start applying for training contracts?
I started applying just before I did the GDL.
How have you settled into life at Gordons?
I feel that I have settled in well, the people have been very welcoming. I have been involved in files from day one and feel like a valuable member of the team. Both Commercial Litigation and Insolvency have been great seats with a lot of varied work, helping to build up my experience.
How did you find the recruitment process at Gordons?
The recruitment process was very straight forward, with an online application form and an interview. I feel this is a better approach than assessment centres, as so many other firms carry out.
Describe yourself in 5 words?
Ambitious, imaginative, outgoing, determined and fun.
