Tom Bowes is a Solicitor in Gordons' commercial property Department. Tom joined the firm in 2011 having previously spent 6 years practising at an international law firm.
Tom has a broad commercial property background, specialising in development, retail and regeneration. He also specialises in the commercial property aspects of renewable energy, advising clients on a wide range of issues including Solar Panel service agreements, Green Leases, CRC and Energy from Waste.
Tom acts for developers in many sectors including retail (town centre, out of town and shopping centre), office, industrial and student accommodation with a specific interest in acting for landlords and tenants in the retail sector. His experience also includes capital raising through sale and leaseback transactions, regeneration and advice in relation to portfolio restructuring.
Significant schemes/transactions Tom has been involved in include:
- The sale of Leeds Bradford International Airport
- The site assembly of the Eastgate Quarters, Leeds
- Development and sale of Doncaster Interchange
- The sale of the Dawney Day portfolio, valued in excess of £600m
- Advising in relation to the Leeds Energy from Waste project
