Profile

Lucy Pollard is a Solicitor inĀ Gordons' commercial litigation department. Lucy joined the firm in June 2011 having carried out her training contract at another regional firm.

Lucy routinely deals with general litigation matters such as contractual disputes, debt recovery and property litigation disputes. She acts for a wide range of clients: individuals, limited and plc companies and landlord and tenants. Lucy is able to advise on pre-action steps which can be taken in order to try and resolve disputes without the need to initiate costly court procedures.

She has a particular interest in residential and commercial property litigation matters, with experience of advising on remedies for breaches of leases, recovery of rent arrears, forfeiture provisions, dilapidation claims, business lease renewals and boundary disputes. Lucy has also conducted possession proceedings from serving initial notices on tenants, to representing clients at possession hearings in the county court.

Lucy was also recently involved in a five week public inquiry which involved an appeal against a notice of modification of consent served by Natural England against Walshaw Moor Estate regarding the current management practices on the moor.

Lucy also sat on the Leeds Junior Lawyer Division committee between 2009-11 which involved organising social and educational events for junior lawyers in Leeds.
