Paul Stokey is a Partner and Head of Gordons' employment law department.

Paul joined the firm in 2004 and is a vastly experienced employment solicitor specialising in giving practical and pragmatic solutions to employers about the opportunities and challenges they face with particular expertise in the FMCG, retail and logistics sectors.

He is renowned for his established expertise in advising on the impact of the TUPE 2006 Regulations, where he regularly provides bespoke training as well as other complex areas of employment law.

Paul's day-today service includes defending and defeating tribunal claims (of all variety); advising on the employee consequences of business acquisitions and disposals; designing and delivering bespoke training solutions to enable HR teams to increase their own awareness and expertise in order to mitigate legal exposure and spend; playing an active part in working, from the initial stages until final delivery, with clients to identify and resolve the employee issues in strategic projects including redundancy, restructures and relocations; assisting clients on managing relationships with trade unions including, where necessary, taking steps to prevent industrial action; and advising senior executives on maximising their opportunities when joining a new business and also when leaving their current employer.
