Julia Lister is a Consultant in Gordons' corporate department.

Julia advises on a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions including mergers and acquisitions. She has particular expertise in relation to non-contentious employment matters such as the preparation of service agreements, option schemes and other employee benefit arrangements. Julia was responsible for advising on the HR issues arising from Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc's store disposals and has advised on its subsequent acquisitions.

One of her main focuses is purchase and sale of large owner managed businesses particularly in the nursing and care home sector. Julia specialises in the establishment of sector skills councils, governed by relatively new legislation and she is one of few specialists in this complex area of law.

Julia's clients include a number of training organisations and recent transactions have involved sales and purchases for a number of owner managed businesses including advice to Hattersley Narrow Fabrics on its acquisition of the business of Aladdin Sales and Marketing from US owners and Watsons Building Services.
