James Laycock, Partner
James Laycock is a Partner in Gordons' commercial litigation department. He joined the firm in December 2009 having spent over 8 years practising at a Leeds City law firm.
James’ practice involves most areas of commercial disputes and Court procedure. In particular his practice focuses on professional negligence matters, commercial and contractual disputes of varying complexity and size, shareholder and director fall-outs and partnership disputes.
James is very familiar with County and the Senior Courts’ practice and procedure, but also uses alternative dispute resolution methods to achieve results for his clients, most notably mediation.
James currently acts for Carrington Wire, Otto UK, Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc, Morphy Richards as well as for a number of smaller family-owned businesses and private individuals.
