James Fawcett is a Partner in Gordons' corporate department. James joined the firm as a trainee in 1999.
James deals with all types of corporate and commercial matters with particular emphasis on acquisitions, disposals and private equity transactions. He also deals with the full range of commercial agreements including standard terms and conditions, supply agreements, agency and distribution agreements.
James has particular expertise in the retail, motor trade and healthcare sectors. His clients include JCT600, Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc, Card Factory, Grattan and Glen Dimplex.
Significant deals that James has advised on include Morrisons' £3bn takeover of Safeway, over 10 acquisitions and disposals for JCT600, the management buy-out of Peter Black backed by Endless LLP and the management buy-out of Star Sportswear (Prostar).
