Andy Brian, Solicitor
Andy Brian is a solicitor in Gordons’ corporate and commercial contracts teams.
Andy has significant experience of dealing with:
- the acquisition and disposal of businesses;
- management buy-outs and buy-ins;
- restructuring;
- joint ventures;
- business start-ups; and
- shareholder and partnership arrangements.
Andy recently assisted in advising the management team of Warwick International Group, a leading manufacturer and supplier within the chemicals industry, on its £129 million private equity backed management buy-out.
Andy also has considerable expertise in advising on high value commercial contracts, in particular in relation to:
the supply of goods and services;
- outsourcing;
- franchising;
- distribution;
- agency;
- e-commerce; and
- endorsements and promotions.
He is also able to provide group and one-to-one commercial contracts training.
Andy recently undertook a 6 month secondment to assist Wm Morrison Supermarkets plc in establishing an in-house legal function, and to prepare and oversee the implementation of Morrisons’ new standard terms and conditions of purchase. He has since been retained, along with Alistair Maiden, to carry out all Morrisons’ commercial contract work.
Andy hails from Wakefield and lives in Leeds. He trained with Gordons and joined the corporate and commercial contracts teams when he qualified in 2005.
