Gordons advises BBC on legal risks to property investors

Some buyers of city centre apartments who exchanged contracts at the top of the property boom two years ago are refusing to complete on their purchases. In a number of cases, buyers are even prepared to forfeit their deposit when they find the market value of the property has fallen dramatically due to the economic downturn.

In light of this situation, Kevin Peachey, who is the BBC News website’s personal finance and consumer affairs reporter, spoke to Paul Lewis, commercial litigation partner at Gordons, for his opinion on this particular situation.

The resultant article containing Paul’s views and advice can be found on the BBC News website here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8290873.stm
