We are supporting companies by ensuring that their difficult and unavoidable current situation is managed effectively, within the law and by providing the necessary support and on site assistance as required.
Our services are tailor made to meet the needs of the organisation and are provided depending upon internal resources and expertise available.
Services can include all or any of the following:
- Designing and managing/ overseeing the redundancy process, providing ongoing support and advice to management.
- Designing your Redundancy Policy which ensures consistency and clarity across the business
- Managing the collective consultation process with Trade Unions and employee representatives on site.
- Notification of proposed redundancies to BERR – Form HR1
- Designing of business rationale, information to disclose to union and employee representatives
- Creating documentation including meeting checklists/ scripts, selection matrix, letters to employee/union representatives, invitation letters to formal redundancy meetings, redundancy termination letters etc
- Supporting managers who are carrying out the individual redundancy consultation meetings, or attending the first and second formal individual redundancy meetings on site
- Calculating the individual redundancy payments and notice arrangements based upon age, service, statutory weekly pay limits and contract of employment.
- Additional career outplacement support can be provided on a one to one or group basis to assist employees in moving on and securing alternative work. Further details can be provided as required. Programmes usually are a half day in length and cover support with CV construction, 2) interview preparation, 3) understanding how and where to search for jobs, launching onto the job market, 4) self employment modules as required.
