"Thinking about restructuring your business? Are you considering buying or selling a business (or part of one)?
Are key contracts up for renewal? Are you hoping to win a new contract? Are you considering outsourcing or re tendering your distribution requirements?
Have you considered the TUPE implications for your staff and your business?"
Are you aware?
The TUPE 2006 regulations need to be considered every time your business is involved in outsourcing, in-sourcing, acquiring or selling part (or all) of a business.
If you fail to recognise your duties under TUPE your business could face numerous unfair dismissal claims, penalties of at least £500 per employee and collected awards to all employees affected of up to 13 weeks pay – each!
Who should attend?
HR professionals, business owners or anyone involved in outsourcing of work, the re-tendering process or pitching for contracts for services.
Delegates will be able to:
- Understand the extent of TUPE – when it does and does not apply
- Learn how to take steps to minimise the application of TUPE
- Learn how to avoid protective awards
- Reduce potential liabilities to your business
Topics will include:
- When does TUPE apply?
- What is the effect of TUPE?
- What difference does TUPE 2006 (“new TUPE”) make?
