Redundancy programme within Nursing Home
When it became apparent to our Employment Law solicitors who were advising on a potential redundancy situation that the client lacked the internal resources to deal with the process sufficiently well, our HR Consultant was able to pick up and run with the required procedural steps. We conducted a full and complete redundancy process involving a significant number of staff. By this direct involvement we ensured that all staff were fully briefed and treated entirely fairly with the end result that no claims arose out of the process. Importantly, nothing more than the minimum required severance payments were made which was essential given the client’s financial constraints and central focus on cost savings.
