Commenting on Gordons, Rob Sharratt, Director of BBGB Challenged North, Bank of Ireland says: “Gordons has advised on a number of recent projects and we can always rely on them to proactively provide commercially balanced advice to ensure deals are delivered within a tight timescale.”

We have acted for Bank of Ireland on over 150 matters since our relationship began in 2005.

The Banking and Finance team work closely with the Property Finance and Business Recovery and Restructuring teams to provide advice on significant refinance matters and general advisory work in relation to the Bank’s existing portfolio of borrowers.

  • Advised Bank of Ireland on loan facilities aggregating in excess of £100m. This involves high level advice on refinancing and exit strategy. Examples include:
  • Advising Bank of Ireland in relation to £33m syndicated facilities where the participating banks and the security agent were of differing views as to the longer term strategy in relation to the facilities
  • Advising in relation to the re-organisation of a Staybridge Suites Hotel from a management agreement to a franchise agreement structure. Our commercial team assisted by undertaking due diligence on the underlying hotel management and franchise agreements
  • Advising on a s.110 demerger of a real estate group holding property in excess of £30,000,000.
